Music plays an important role in the life of the Church of St Mary Magdalene. The worship at many of our traditional style services is enhanced by our choir. The church is often used as a concert venue as well as promoting its own series of Saturday concerts, Music for Market.
The Music Department is led by a professional Director of Music, Dr Stephen Bullamore. Considerable support is given by the Thomas Magnus Foundation to enable high quality music to take place; it is the oldest non-cathedral or collegiate choral foundation in the country.
