Heritage Interpretation & Visitor Experience Manager (3 year Fixed Term Contract)

As part of the Reawakening St Mary Magdalene project, a new staff role has been created to oversee the delivery of the project’s Activity and Interpretation Plans. The purpose of this new role is to:

  • Lead on the delivery of the modest heritage interpretation scheme, by overseeing the Interpretation Consultants and working closely with the Reawakening Project Manager
  • Lead the project’s Activity Plan, which includes public, school, and community engagement programmes, so that the church becomes a hive of activity in the heart of Newark, welcoming the diverse communities living in the area and tourists.
  • Ensure there is a consistent visitor welcome.
  • Line manage Activity Plan freelancers and the new part-time Work Experience and Volunteer Coordinator (to be recruited in due course).
